Sexual Formation

Following Jesus calls us to live differently and this includes in our sexual formation. We believe that living the way of Jesus also means following His vision for sexuality in our lives.  

Practically, this looks like abstaining from all sexual relationships outside of the historic vision of Christian marriage expressed in whole life covenant between a man and woman. (Mark 10:5-9) This looks like striving to pursue holiness in our lives by God’s grace including avoiding pornography and inappropriate relationships that compromise this pursuit.  

We are committed to continually seek to understand and address the issues of identity that many people experience in relation to sexuality. Identity in Christ above the influence of culture is one of our values at Way and we desire to find our highest form of identity in being a follower of Jesus and a child of God. 

People that are part of the LGBTQI+ practice are welcome to join us at Way; our heart is to reach out with love and compassion; following in the way that Jesus does. We reject all forms of hatred, verbal or physical abuse and victimisation of LGBTQI+ people. We are all followers of Jesus looking to follow Him, be changed by Him and do as He did; imperfect but experiencing His grace daily.
